A Jund Cube Experience:

Shout out to tylerpug and The Junderdome. As a fellow Jund lover, when I decided to start designing this, a few web searches brought me to your cube and it was great to see a like minded thought process about the greatest combination of colors in Magic.

Info:

Most games should be full of threats, answers and interactive gameplay. Many decks will use the graveyard as a resource as such graveyard hate is implemented in the form of targeted repeatable removal as opposed to sweeping graveyard removal. There are very few graveyard sweepers. There are no infinite combos or instant win cards. There are however many repeatable value combos.

Usually drafted as a pod of 6 at Four 14 card packs to each player and burn the last 3 cards of each pack.

Archetypes that inspired the cube:

Game-Object Sacrifice (BR) – Make game objects, and accrue value and deal damage from sacrificing them.

The Rack (B) – Put both players to no resources and let the rack effects do their job.

Spells Matter (RG) – Prowess, Magecraft and Similar Effects.

Welder Artifact Value (R) – A primarily Red archetype abusing Goblin Welders.

The Rock (BG) – Midrange Synergies.

Lands (GR) – Landfall and Graveyard Recursion of value lands.

Red Deck Wins/ Big Red (R) – Aggro or Midrange Mono Red deck with lots of creature beats

Jund (Jund) – Jund ‘em out.

Modified Creatures (GR) – Powerful synergies with modified creatures. Primarily in the form of +1/+1 counters.

Special Rules:

Artillery Enthusiast reads:

Modified Creatures you control have menace. When Artillery Enthusiast enters the battlefield, you may discard a card. If you do, draw a card.

Cards I don't want:

Recurring Nightmare - slightly too difficult to reasonably interact with and is always the best "grinding" card.

Strip Mine - too easy to recur and create a complete non-game.

Cards on the watch list:

Minsc and Boo - close to an instant win. Keeping an eye on it.

Fury - just monitoring that it's not too oppressive to the Aggro decks.

Cards that might be okay to add:

Grief - If Fury proves to be fine this can be added

Wasteland - Doesn't hit basics, or maybe Tectonic Edge or Volatile Fault would be ok.
