Combining my two favorite formats, draft and casual commander, this cube hopefully creates a new and exciting EDH experience every time it’s played.
WHAT TO EXPECTDraft should provide a similar experience to Commander Masters with a much higher power level. The ability to use any mono-colored legendary as a partner commander opens a lot of fresh new commander partner combos that should make games exciting.
I've included support for mechanics I like, specifically, treasures, goad, monarch, and other mechanics that aim for interactive gameplay.
Overall the archetypes were designed to be flexible with significant overlap with tons of partner combos allowing for maximum creativity in deck building.
This classic blink deck plays permanents with "enters the battlefield" effects and builds value by exiling them and returning them to the battlefield to re-trigger their effects.
This archetype is one of the broadest, allowing for a wide variety of builds all of which generally revolve around filling graveyards and playing spells from graveyards.
Classic BR sac with some treasure, goad, and cast from exile synergies.
This deck utilizes a stompy creature strategy. Ramp into large threats with attack and landfall triggers. If you like turning your creatures sideways this is a good choice.
Standard Selesnya themes that can be built to go wide, go tall, or a combo.
This aristocrats style of play wants you to generate tokens or play creatures with death triggers and sacrifice them for value. There is also a well supported lifegain matters deck that can be built as a sub theme or the main synergy.
This is the spells matter deck. Many of the cards in this archetype will care about the casting of non-creature spells with an artifact sub theme.
This is the reanimator/morbid strategy. This archetype rewards you for putting creature cards in graveyards with discard and removal as well as allows you to use the graveyard as a resource to pull back from.
This is a voltron/ combat deck with the goal of killing through combat aided by equipment.
This deck wants to ramp into big threats and make them bigger with +1/+1 counters. Many cards in this archetype will care about power and toughness and the manipulation of counters. This archetype also has the ability to clone other powerful threats.
Players draft from 3 packs of 20 from the cube and build a deck of 60 (59/58 + general(s)). Players draft two cards at a time.
**All legendary mono color creatures have "Partner" and "Choose a Background" Any card with "Choose a Background" also has "Partner" and vise versa.
In order to replicate the feel of commander (and for the sake of balance and drafting freedom), it is vital that some staples be made available to all players. Players each start the draft with the following cards in their draft pool:

Cards with ”Partner with” or “meld” automatically include the combo card.
