A Delirium based cube with a power level between Legacy and Modern, where powerful enablers are allowed, but the payoffs and removal try to not be over the top. Devote yourself to a card type found in Alpha of your choice, or mix it up on board or in grave for an experience that aims to support as many play styles as possible!

This is the main list, but smaller lists are regularly updated: 270, 360

MAIN THEMES
  • Card types matter, an archetype for each card type found in Alpha can be found in a dedicated color pair as well as support for mixing these themes
  • The Graveyard is a resource. We love regrowths, delve, and reanimation for even the cheapest cards here to promote options as the game goes into the late game. Grave hate and cheap exile removal is limited
  • Tokens!
  • Custom cards! Some to fill in incomplete land cycles, fluff up certain archetypes with subpar options, and bring in more appropriate versions of powerful cube staples. I also try to keep a base card in the list that makes sense for people unable to make use of the customs
NOs
  • No tribal or color specific payoffs. There's enough railroading through card types, don't need more. This also applies to permanent protection from (color), as that has poor gameplay patterns. Some multicolor payoffs are acceptable though as they lead to exploring more archetype crossover than usual
  • Limited card theft for easy scooping (no, "oops, I shuffled your card into my deck")
  • No double sided cards
  • No monarch/day & night mechanics. Boards can already get confusing, so trying to limit this where I can

Notable Build Arounds:

=?==?==?== Engine Combo ==?==?==?=
(Build arounds that provide a unique experience and can provide you more card advantage and pressure than other slower decks)

=|==|==|== Next Turn Win ==|==|==|=
(Requires multiple pieces and lots of mana, but will set you up to win the game on the following turn or two at worst)

=!==!==!== I WIN ==!==!==!=
(Put these cards on the board and you almost assuredly win the game unless your opponent has instant speed removal, and even that may not help them)

Booster Tutor:

While you can use it as written, a powerful option is to shuffle up the maybeboard and deal out 10 cards for your booster

Example Decks:

Jund Lands
Bant Flicker
Esper Enchantment Flicker

Big things here:

  • I wrote a little blogpost found here

  • Many higher power level cards are being included for testing. No more knee jerk "ooo, I imagined a scenario where this'll feel bad". They will stay until either a new card comes along and takes their place or I have hard examples of bad play patterns. Daze, Recurring Nightmare, and Jacked Rabbit have good shots at this, the others I'm imagining will be fine.

  • I don't think Floral Evoker will work out, and was going to readd Bristlebud Farmer, but just witnessed this Prowler putting in work in Modern, so we'll give it a try

  • Elemental Eruption is a card I want to support more, so adding Highway Robbery and Seething Song as ways to boost your storm count while hopefully being playable in other kinds of decks

  • The white side of BW reanimator still needs some help. Hoping Karmic Guide will help incentivize this particular variant of the strategy
