2024 Edition of "All Gas; No Breaks" Vintage Cube

There are modified and custom cards to fill in gaps, bring certain cards up to the power level of the cube, and adjust some cards to fit the format better

Archetypes:
The colors are what typically make the majority of the cards in this deck archetype. You could play 1-2 of the colors and still have a strong deck in this archetype.

urw Artifacts/Energy
Tinker, Tolarian Academy, Urza, and Mishra's workshop are all very high picks for artifact decks. r and w have a lot of energy producing spells. u is the base for most artifact decks with or without energy, and filling in with as many artifacts that can fit. Stoneforge and Puresteel paladin are also within this archetype.

wbg Life Gain
Lower curve, lots of synergy, and the ability to aggressively spend life for value while staying alive longer. Sorin of House Markov, Gourmand's Talent, Dawnstar Flock, and Guide of souls are all very strong picks. Heliod + Walking Ballista combo is in this archetype.

rgw +1/+1 Counters
Ramp into counter enablers that grow your board quickly to inevitable wins if your threats are not dealt with quickly. rg make up most of this archetype, have haste and ramp to put pressure on quickly. Minsc & Boo, Halana and Alena, Bristly Bill, and Kalonian Hydra are top picks.

grwb Tokens
Flood the board and go wide. This archetype often splashes with a secondary archetype, as tokens synergize with a lot of other strategies. Making a lot of creatures, giving them buffs, and swinging or sacrificing them for value. There are ways to get extra value from them by cards like Academy Manufactor if you make lots of treasures or clues, cards like Mondrak to double the number you make, and cards that populate like Polukranos. Some of the best token producers are Springheart Nantuko, Jacked Rabbit, monastery mentor, and Najeela the blade blossom.

ubr Cheat in Creatures
Classic reanimator, but there are other ways to cheat in high impact creatures very early such as Through the Breach, sneak attack, and show & tell. These all go nicely together, where after you sacrifice your creature to the breach trigger, you can reanimate it back again. You will often need discard outlets to get your fat creatures into the graveyard somehow so that it can be reanimated. Other top picks for cheating in creatures are Infamous Cruelclaw, Sword of Once & Future, Recurring Nightmare, and Flash.

rwb Aggro
Small, efficient curve. Lots of small, high-impact creatures that attack and disrupt early in the game. Can close out a game in the first few turns. r and w make the backbone of this archetype, but typically can splash another color as well. Ragavan, Mother of Runes, Inti, and Forth Eorlingas are top picks for this archetype.

rug Spellslinger/Storm
Wheels, rituals, mana producers, untap effects, and storm finishers make this archetype. Lots of card draw, ways to produce a lot of mana in one turn, and cards to copy a spell multiple times to win are key. Storm cards are obvious, but other cards like underworld breach, bolas's citadel, aetherfulx reservoir, and yawgmoth's will are other storm staples. Otherwise, ways to copy powerful spells like thousand-year storm, bonus round, and Extend Reality are all alternative ways to storm off. Rituals, cards that reduce the cost of instants and sorceries, spells that untap lands, along with cards that make lands tap for multiple mana are all a part of this archetype.

wu ; br Tempo
Counter magic, tempo plays, and powerful removal make up the azorius control/tempo decks. Paired with planeswalkers and other value engines create a tempo shift that pushes you to victory. Teferis, Counterspells, cantrips, and white removal are all top picks for wu
Hand disruption, cheap removal, burn, and powerful threats make up the Rakdos Tempo/Sacrifice decks. Strip your opponents of their hands, destroy their early plays with burn, and play efficient threats to the board to out tempo your opponent. Token producers with sacrifice engines, black discard effects, and red removal are all top picks for this archetype.

grbw Lands
Self mill, fetch lands, and land destruction make up this archetype. Spells that allow you to play lands from your graveyard or return lands to your hand are critical, paired with extra land drop effects to get ahead. Strip mine loops are where you play strip mine, destroy a land with it, and then replay it again to destroy more lands until your opponent is out of land. Artifact and creature destruction helps finish the lock by killing their alternative mana producers. Finding the key pieces to the combo are also key, so cards like Crop rotation, elvish reclaimer, black tutors, and wheel effects to churn through your deck quickly and find what you need while putting lands in your graveyard. Six, Wrenn & six, fastbond, and Armageddon are all top picks for this archetype.
