The Khans Expanded Cube is my original design. It was first made for the Magic Online Cube Spotlight Series as the first cube in the series, and debuted on MTGO in July 2019.

It is an unpowered, no-planeswalker cube environment that takes the themes of the beloved Khans of Tarkir draft environment and upscale to a more powerful cube environment. It is designed to feel like a souped-up Limited format rather than a traditional Cube experience. This is not a “set cube”. It does not include every card from Khans, nor is every card from Khans block. What this cube does is take the themes, draft style and play patterns of Khans of Tarkir and seeks to create the same type of experience that the original set provided.

Focus on synergies and cohesion in your decks, peppered with individually powerful heavy hitters from Tarkir (or mechanically similar cards).

Abzan (BGW): Outlast (+1/+1 counters)
Jeskai (WUR): Prowess (noncreature spells)
Sultai (BUG): Delve (graveyard matters)
Mardu (WBR): Raid (attacking)
Temur (RUG): Ferocious (tempo/stompy)
Morph (all colors, primarily in UG)
Warriors (nonblue)
