Introduction

Welcome to my monored Cube! This cube provides a fun, diverse, and dynamic play experience even when allowed only Red and Colorless cards. There are a variety of strategies and speeds available, from classic Monored Aggro to Big Red Control to Storm Combo. There should be something for everyone to draft, no matter what type of strategy you prefer!

Why only the color Red? Red cards create fun and interesting gameplay, since both toughness and life total become very important axes of the game. Big creatures are actually fairly difficult to kill, but don't be afraid to 2-for-1 yourself to clear the way. Games are exciting and tense, and topdecked burn spells can be deciders.

Red naturally skews aggressive, so special care has been put forth to make sure that the slower decks can control and take over the game with their more expensive cards. I strongly recommend that every deck play a few cheap removal spells to defend themselves.

There are no hybrid cards or cards with a mana symbol of another color. This includes Phyrexian mana cards. There are no cards with multiplayer-specific keywords (Partner, Undaunted, etc).

Power Level

Many of the strongest red cards of all time are present, like Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer or Fable of the Mirror-Breaker, but the power level of the cube can only be so high with only a single color. There are no Power 9, and the level of artifact fast-mana is somewhat restricted. Expect Skullclamp or Ancient Tomb to be among the strongest colorless cards available.
