Lv9Cubone's Peasant Cube About the cube

Welcome to my cube! As a "peasant" cube, this cube features only commons and uncommons. However, for the nonbasic lands, I've decided to include rares. I believe limiting the lands doesn't lead to more interesting games and I like when people try to combine archetypes a bit.

I try to update this cube every time a new set comes out, always on the lookout for good new commons and uncommons as well as downshifts! I do miss stuff, though. If you're looking through the cube and think I'm missing out on a banger, do let me know in a comment!

After this section I will list the base archetypes which the two-colour combinations focus on in my cube, but don't fear that this is all you can choose from! Every combination of colours should be able to support different playstyles, and using one colour only is also an option and supported. Get creative!

The archetypes wu: Blink

ub: Tempo ninjas/rogues

br: Sacrifice

rg: Midrange (With a Domain subtheme)

gw: +1/+1 counters

wb: Aristocrats

ur: Spellslinger

bg: Self-mill

rw: Aggro (with a Heroic subtheme)

gu: (+1/+1) counters

Try it out!

Try out a draft against bots! The bots on CubeCobra are actually decent nowadays.

Drafting online with friends is also possible! You can send them the link generated when you start a draft on here, or head on over to Draftmancer and select "Upload a custom card list" under the "Card pool" dropdown menu before starting the draft. Here you can upload the cube list text file, which you can get by exporting this cube under the "list" section.

Latest major edit

In the latest edit I finally added in some Bloomburrow cards I've been wanting to try. Witness them:

Plus just another little edit, Yavimaya Iconoclast seems decent.

The "Power Nine"

Every cube has some cards that just feel better than the rest. For this cube, I think the "Power Nine" group of cards consists of the following:

Do with this information what you will: first pick them, ignore them intentionally, move them up in your estimation... This is just a list I felt like adding for those that are interested.
