Welcome to the homepage for my commander cube. Like many who built commander cubes, I saw the video from the Command Zone and thought I'd pick through my collection and create a cube. For this cube, the draft format is a little unique. The first pack is a pack of 10 commanders and 2 augments. Augments work just like conspiracies from Conspiracy and Conspiracy: Take the Crown in that they sit in your command zone and add an effect to the game. However, in this cube, augments are powerful tools for deckbuilding that add colors to your commander's color identity, add powerful abilities if you control your commander or steal another player's commander, and even let you partner two commanders together. Since augments are so strong, players are limited to using just one augment, so choose wisely. After drafting commanders, the main body of the cube is drafted as 5 packs of 20 cards to help you fill out the 99. After the updated feature of drafting with friends online, I made a second draft format that filters out cards that can't be played online without severe difficulties if you and your friends want to import decks over to cockatrice or tabletop simulator. Of course, at the end of drafting, everyone receives their standard, government issued sol ring. This is commander, after all.
There are several themes that mimic popular tribes and strategies in commander. Unleash powerful dinosaurs and trample over your opponents, take to the skies with 5 color dragons, harness the power of the graveyard with mill, self-mill, and dredge, gain life and grow your army with Abzan life gain and counters, or command a horde of the undead. With a vast card pool and over 120 commanders to choose from, the combinations are endless and new deckbuilding strategies are waiting to be discovered. Sprinkled throughout are some un-cards for extra flavor. Additionally, cards banned in EDH such as Dockside, Mana Crypt, and Prophet of Kruphix have found homes here to provide a more powerful play experience. If you give the cube a playtest, please take a few minutes to provide some feedback; I'm always looking to improve the experience.
