This Cube focuses on many of the fundamentals of Magic.
Curve, fixing, tempo, board presence, incremental value, technical play are all important.

The environment is predominantly focused on mid-range strategies. Many games are decided by accrued value, micro-synergies and a tight gameplay. Game-winning combos are present, but are purposefully not well-supported. Don't be fooled by some classic cube combo cards; they are often here just for value and synergy, not combo!

There is decent fixing including playsets of dual-lands, shock-lands, surveil-lands, and fetch-lands.

The Cube is numerically balanced although only two-thirds of the pool will be seen in any one draft. The traditional colour-pie does provide guidance but there is some bleed-over. There are a few dedicated 5C pay-offs.
