The goal is low on counter spells that just counter spells, i.e. mana leak and board wipes/sweepers and high on interaction. That means lots of 1 for 1 removal, creatures that want to be pumped, and spells that trigger off your opponent's actions. There should be few moments where a player is F6'd*
For years F6 was the "pass priority for the turn" button on MTGO. Some of us still use it in paper Magic. We are all intolerable.
