This is a fairly new cube! The idea behind it is to support elements of aggro, midrange, control, and combo in all colors. Is this
a pipe dream? Maybe! Eventually, I'm hoping to add 36 conspiracy or conspiracy-like cards and add one to each pack. Ideally, this
cube will create tense games in which players can use powerful cards without having to worry about degenerate strategies. Wins
should be earned, not drafted. Obviously, this is a work in process. Please let me know if you see any obvious power outliers! If
it helps, I'm trying to center archetypes around shards and wedges, with a certain amount of overlap. Please also let me know if
these archetypes are obvious or not--though I'm trying to avoid as many auto-draft decisions where some cards are a slam-dunk in
one deck but don't fit anywhere else.
Things I'm hoping to include: aggro in each color, combo or combo elements in each color, offbeat options that aren't quite able
to shine in most cubes (Gruul control?!), interesting draft decisions.
Things I'm not going to include: storm, universal tutors, fetches (though that might change...), artifact-based ramp, P9,
obvious/known instant-win combos (e.g. twin/kiki + tap/untap, wildfire + rocks, etc.), obvious p1p1 cards, very strong artifacts
(wurmcoil, etc.)
