This is one of my old cube lists that I found on a notepad. I had taken my spare Canadian Highlander and old standard bits and turned it into this.
This is the era of Magic that really spoke to me. The cards filled roles without a bunch of unnecessary keywords and upsides. Creatures didn't all get ETB effects. Fewer cards could run away with the game on their own, which forced players to draft a game plan as opposed to "good stuff, do everything" cards that fall into their colour(s).
This cube is quite unpolished, but I'm keeping very close to what it was back in the day. I slimmed it down from 600 or so cards, and a few cards were cut to be in other cubes. I'm slowly rotating in cards to support shifting archetypes, as well as picking up a couple cards that I didn't use back then - But they support and flush out some of the fun micro synergies.
I've never been a big fan of cubes loaded up with planeswalkers. They always seem to do so much, without you having to work for it. I do have them in here - but only two per colour. In each colour one is the more 'powerful one', where the other is more of a role player. For example Tamiyo is the powerful planeswalker, where tezzeret is a role player for decks in blue that care about artifacts.
