This is a 600-card commander cube for 4-8 players. Players first ‘draft’ from a 5-card pack of commanders. These cards come a pool of 60 potential commanders (20 mono-colour partners, 3 of each guild, 1 of each shard/wedge).
There are legendary creatures in the “600”, but they are not valid commanders for your deck. Any mono-colour commander in the “commander” packs with Partner (or a Partner variant) can partner with each other.
The players then draft from four 15-card packs, building 60-card card deck. Commander rules about colour identity apply to your final deck. Everyone gets a Command Tower in addition to their drafted pool.
There are archetypes for each guild, while the shard/wedge commanders loosely build on those themes. Not every commander is directly on theme, some I just thought seemed cool. The themes are as follows (with sub themes in parenthesis):
Azorius: Blink (ETB Effects)
Boros: Tokens (Goblins)
Dimir: Loot/Reanimator
Golgari: Graveyard Matters (Self-Mill/Reanimator)
Gruul: Landfall (Big Chunky Bois)
Izzet: Wheel Effects (Spells)
Orzhov: Aristocrats (Tokens)
Rakdos: Goblins (Reanimator)
Selesnya: Tokens (Go Wide Aggro)
Simic: +1/+1 Counters (Good Stuff)
There are cards in the 600 that would normally be banned in Commander. They are obviously not banned in this cube, so feel free to go nuts with Rofellos or Flash or whatever.
