Overview

I do not intend to emulate a classic Odyssey-Torment-Judgment draft. This cube is instead a collection of the most interesting and fun cards from the block (in my opinion, but suggestions are always welcome !).

Some cards aren't from the block but fit really well into the existing archetypes or themes from Odyssey.

This is a modular cube that can be drafted by either 2, 3 or 4 players. 180 cards is the perfect size for that purpose because it lets you choose between a lot of different ways to draft the cube :

  • 2 Players : Grid draft with 18 packs of 9 cards (45-54 cards per player). You can draft 20 packs if you want to draft the whole cube. Alternatively, you can Housman draft if you want some hidden information and more powerful decks.

  • 3 Players : Winchester draft with 4 stacks by putting aside 24 random cards (~52 cards per player) or not (~60 cards per player).

  • 4 Players : Booster draft with 5 packs of 9 cards per player (45 cards per player).

Non-Odyssey cards

The only non-Odyssey cards are Necrogoyf, Dark Withering, Blazing Rootwalla, Faithless Looting, Chromatic Star, Chromatic Sphere and the 3 non-basic lands Terramorphic Expanse, Evolving Wilds and Ash Barrens. Each of these cards has been printed with an old border at least once, and I feel that they deserve their slot in the cube. The black and red cards support Madness and make those colors more interesting, whereas the other cards are perfect to help players draft 2 (or 3?) colors without being too powerful. There are 2 of each land so that if the cube is drafted by 4 players, each of them should have 1 or 2 in their deck. Also, a nice upside of these lands is that they help filling up the graveyard for Threshold or cards like Grim Lavamancer.
