This cube is an unpowered vintage synergy focused cube. The idea is to facilitate an environment where the most powerful and efficient decks are more than simply piles of good stuff. That said, the archetypes and deck styles are not strict at all and players should feel rewarded for getting creative with how they draft and build their decks.

In order to make things a little more simple for new players (to both drafting and this specific cube) each guild has one to two primary strategies which players can use as guiding rails while first learning the environment.

The primarily supported archetypes for each guild are:
Azorius Tempo/Control
Dimir hand-hate/Control
Simic Ramp/Midrange
Golgari Graveyard/Midrange
Selesnya +1/+1 counters/Midrange
Izzet Spellslinger/Tempo
Gruul ramp/Aggro
Orzhov Reanimator/Aggro
Boros Suit-up/Aggro
Rakdos Aristocrats/Pain/Aggro

The order listed above is represented of the expected speed of each archetype(ranked slowest to fastest). This isn't exact and is largely dependent on draft picks, but playtesting has suggested that order to be mostly accurate.

While there are a number of generally good cards, decks with synergy and focused strategies should generally outperform piles of "good stuff." Good stuff/Pile decks are viable, but do require some degree of focus during the actual draft and gameplay in order to function. The sheer number of pain-adjacent lands (fetches, shocks, painlands, horizon lands, etc), aggro decks are very good at shutting down the greedy decks via key removal pieces or raw speed. If all drafters are building slower, less interactive decks, then greedy decks will be oppressive and likely 2-0 easily.
