This must be the first time in a long while that not even a single card is added from a set. I agree that most of the cards are too narrow and/or weak.
Virtue of Loyalty is interesting. I'd like to know how it tests for you. A 2/2 flash that draws an anthem for 1W is certainly not bad. You also make good points about Parallax Wave.
Fable and Ertai are great cards. Fable just fits every non-aggro deck and is so much value from so many angles. Ertai just answers everything - you feel safe with it in hand.
Isn't Coveted Jewel too dangerous? Obviously, drawing three cards with mana to use them is big game, but still, you cannot be behind on board. We play monarch cards, but the decks that excel at the monarch game usually don't cast six mana ramp cards or card draw spells.
