Planar Cleansing > Doomskar: A three-mana wrath can't be bad, right?! Replacing a six-mana wrath (albeit, one that hits all non-land permanents), which remains in the tier one of the maybeboard.
Master Splicer > Glorious Protector: White fours have been exceptionally shallow at my power level, but recent sets have been changing that. Swapping for a powerful Restoration Angel adaption.
Frost Lynx > Saw It Coming: Frost Lynx was a mediocre creature and easily replaceable. Testing out the Foretell Cancel.
Mission Briefing > Ravenform: Mission Briefing had a low pick rate. Swapped for Ravenform, which hits almost everything.
Wicked Wolf > Battle Mammoth: Wicked Wolf was underwhelming - and most often a 4 CMC green Lightning Bolt. Swapping for Battle Mammoth, which will be effectively a 4 CMC beater.
Maul of the Skyclaves > Hengegate Pathway: I won't go into each of these, but cutting one card from each color for the remaining pathways (and adding back in Phyrexian Revoker to keep color distribution, which probably shouldn't have gotten the axe in the first place).
Hypnotic Sprite > Behold the Multiverse: Sprite was weak for this environment. Replacing it with a slam-dunk of a draw spell. Love these Foretell cards.
Shell Shield > Depart the Realm: Shell Shield had low expectations going in, and it met them. Depart the Realm is a simple bounce spell but will likely be much more of a combat trick than Shield.
Disfigure > Poison the Cup: Poison the Cup is an excellent removal spell. It replaces Disfigure, which remains in the tier 1 of the maybeboard.
Chandra's Pyrohelix > Demon Bolt: Testing out Demon Bolt as removal. Less flexibility than Pyrohelix, but more damage.
Vivien's Arkbow > Masked Vandal: Arkbow is one of my favorite cards, but it never panned out in this environment. Testing Masked Vandal for more artifact/enchantment destruction - though I'm not sure if the conditionality of having a creature in yard will be prohibitive.
Rhythm of the Wild > Arni Slays the Troll: Rhythm, even in the best circumstances, was too slow. We'll test out Arni Slays the Troll as a fight spell, but there are many other cards that could fill this slot.
Meteor Golem > Bretagard Stronghold: I won't go into depth on each of these cuts, but I decided to cut the mediocre colorless cards for these utility lands. For whatever reason, there just aren't great options for colorless cards at my power/price level. If you have recommendations, send them my way, but in the meantime, might as well play utility lands.
Commence the Endgame > Sublime Epiphany: Commence the Endgame is not very good, even at low power. For an instant-speed six-drop, Epiphany offers much more utility.
Dreadhorde Invasion > Skyclave Shade: Dreadhorde invasion was no Bitterblossom. Skyclave Shade inserted in the spot to bolster aggro.
Falkenrath Noble > Gravebreaker Lamia: Aristocrats has several options at lower CMCs than Noble. Flipping it for Lamia, which is intended to bolster the Bx graveyard strategies.
Eternal Taskmaster > Nightmare Shepherd: A test swap, as our black section gets a little higher on the CMC curve. Nightmare Shepard was a beast in the arena cube.
Hammer of Purphoros > Rekindling Phoenix: Hammer, while a fan favorite among my friends, never preformed. Swapped for Rekindling Phoenix, which is just so difficult to kill off.
Decimator of the Provinces > Kazandu Mammoth: Decimator never saw play - literally. Mammoth lowers the curve a little bit but will definitely see more main-deck play.
